Here you read up on all activities performed by artists in public space of the Hanseatic city since 1973. Down to the present day there have been approximately 670 individual works and monuments exhibited continuously as well as approximately 647 temporary projects operated. Altogether an amount of 665 regional, national as well as international artists participated to date.

The programm "art in public space" was founded 1973 as a decision set up by the bremer senat to solve the art in construction progress which exists since 1972. Bremen is therefore the first city of the nation to formulate art in public space as a governmental or communal art-program. ...more
